Lacoste brings latest boutique concept to Surabaya Juanda Airport

The new concept is based on Lacoste’s flagship domestic stores

INDONESIA. French premium casualwear brand Lacoste has introduced its latest travel retail store concept in partnership with Heinemann Asia Pacific, at its debut Indonesian airport location, Surabaya Juanda International.

The new concept takes its design cues from Lacoste’s product range as well as its domestic shops across the world, with an emphasis on “casual elegance, quality, comfort and French heritage”.

The brand worked with Concourse Display Management (CDM) to implement its designs, which feature clean, chic spaces that contrast and highlight the vibrant colours of the Lacoste product range – integrating this within Heinemann’s duty free airside environment.

The brand owner noted: “We’ve been working with CDM to ensure that regardless of the logistical barriers that duty free presents, our airside Lacoste stores are delivered to the same high specification as the most prestigious domestic boutique locations.”

CDM, which has managed four projects for Lacoste since November 2013, oversaw the project from engineered drawings to installation, using local suppliers in Jakarta. Concourse Display Management Asia Director Chris Morriss explained: “Concourse Display Management, as well as Lacoste, see exciting developments in Indonesia, both in terms of creativity and technical capability.

“It’s part of our business model to develop a strong, global network of local suppliers who, with our oversight, produce to the very highest calibre. For high-end bespoke projects like this, it’s the most practical approach, and enables us to provide a far more nimble and efficient service.”
