ALBANIA. Lagardère Travel Retail Albania has inaugurated a new computer laboratory at Rexhe Deliu School in Rinas, reinforcing its corporate social responsibility focus on communities surrounding Tirana International Airport.

The investment forms part of the company’s local community commitment programme, reflecting Lagardère Travel Retail’s broader emphasis on social impact in the markets where it operates.

Lagardère Travel Retail Albania CEO Stanislav Beránek said: “Lagardère is a company owned by two shareholders, Lagardère Travel Retail and Kastrati Group. We have a commitment programme which aims to help local communities, and that’s why we are here today – to open this computer laboratory at the School of Rinas.”
He added: “It’s part of our commitment to the community which lives around the airport, because at Lagardère we also care about the place where we conduct our business. I’m very happy to open this project here. I believe it will help the local community improve education from the very beginning at school and help them in their future careers.”

Lagardère Travel Retail became the exclusive duty-free operator at Tirana International Airport last year (story here). It extended its Albanian footprint in October 2025 with a 100sq m duty-free store at the Port of Durrës (story here). ✈
