Lagardère Travel Retail completes acquisition of Marché International

FRANCE/INTERNATIONAL. Lagardère Travel Retail has completed its transaction to acquire Marché international, the global catering company with strong interests in the travel space.

As reported, the move to purchase the company was announced on 16 November, with the acquisition aligned with Lagardère Travel Retail’s ambition to strengthen its network of foodservice operations.

Marché international’s diverse portfolio of concepts covers a full range of customer needs and budgets. It notably includes the eponymous Marché F&B brand (pictured), Palavrion, Cindy’s Diner and the White Monkey.

Lagardère Travel Retail noted that the acquisition confirms its long-standing strategic ambition to grow across all segments of activities in travel retail and dining to holistically cover landlord and traveller needs.

It also reinforces its strong portfolio of internal brands, with Marché being a long-standing and highly recognised name globally.

As a result of the transaction, Lagardère Travel Retail takes over the restaurant network of Marché in six countries: Germany, Austria, Croatia, Slovenia, the Czech Republic and Singapore.

Marché primarily operates in travel and leisure locations including airports, railway and motorway stations, zoos and downtown malls. ✈
