ITALY. Lagardère Travel Retail Italia has unveiled two Bottega dei Sapori stores at Cagliari Elmas Mario Mameli Airport on the island of Sardinia. One outlets is located airside, the other landside.
The concept stores showcase a wide selection of traditional Sardinian food specialities and confectionery products as well as Sardinian wines.
They offer an assortment of local delicacies, including pasta varieties such as Fregula and Culurgiones, flatbreads such as Pane Carasau and Guttiau, and local cold cuts and cheeses such as Sardinian pecorino. Customers can also find a variety of honey, saffron and traditional sweets.
The retailer is set to open a third store at the airport under the same format this month.
In a social media post, the company said: “These new openings are a great success for Lagardère Travel Retail Italia, which is proud to confirm its presence in the Italian market.” ✈
