AUSTRIA. Lagardère Travel Retail has officially opened its The Fashion Gallery concept at Vienna International Airport.
The 800sq m store is located in Terminal 2’s post-security Plaza area. The Fashion Gallery features a shop-in-shop layout in which individual brands are highlighted, including Michael Kors, Hugo Boss, Ermenegildo Zegna, Longchamp, Tag Heuer and Chopard.

The open sales area ensures a varied offering of fashion and accessories, according to Lagardère Travel Retail. The concept has already been implemented in many airports around the world, including Amsterdam Schiphol, Singapore Changi, Madrid Barajas and Geneva Airport.
The Vienna Airport store features the largest LED wall of its European outlets at its entrance, Lagardère Travel Retail said. The wall offers a simulated “virtual flight over Vienna’s city centre to the Hofburg Palace in Vienna” in which “passengers can experience an immersion into the Viennese traditional lifestyle and ambience”.

“On the basis of our shopping and restaurant offering, we want to make the stay at the airport as comfortable and diversified as possible,” commented Vienna Airport Member of the Management Board Julian Jäger. “The Fashion Gallery not only brings many top brands together under one roof, but also ensures a special flair with a virtual journey in the heart of Vienna.”
Lagardère Travel Retail COO Europe, Middle East and Africa Frédéric Chevalier said: “Fashion is a very important category for us and key strategic asset. The opening of another Fashion Gallery proves that our concept has truly become a brand in itself, highly appreciated by landlords as well as brands.
“The launch of our fashion activities in Austria further strengthens our relationship with Vienna Airport and accelerates our development in Austria.”
