Lagardère Travel Retail opens four food & beverage islands at Warsaw Chopin Airport

POLAND. Lagardère Travel Retail has revealed four new airside food & beverage concessions at Warsaw Chopin Airport. Each venue is in a retail island format, adapting to available terminal spaces in sizes ranging from 12-17sq m.

They include three proprietary concepts in Bistro Okienko, So Coffee and Przystań na Piwo, and a joint venture with Henkell Freixenet Polska, Prosecco Bar.

The venues offer between ten and 12 seats of their own, with communal seating areas nearby.

Przystań na Piwo has a simple, functional design with elements characteristic of Polish beer bars

Bistro Okienko offers classic street food, such as the 50cm-long zapiekanki (baked baguettes) and modern versions of hot dogs with a variety of toppings. Beverages include soft drinks and coffee.

Przystań na Piwo’s diverse drinks menu offers bottled and draft beers, ready-to-drink beverages, non-alcoholic drinks and coffee. They are complemented by hot snacks such as paninis, sandwiches, chicken strips and wings with fries.

So Coffee offers a wide selection of classic and seasonal coffees, teas, lemonades, sandwiches, cakes, and both hot and cold snacks.

Bistro Okienko has a design inspired by old-style food stalls serving zapiekanki, in a modern format

Prosecco Bar offers Prosecco, coffee, selected wines, ready-to-drink beverages, Prosecco 0% and cocktails. The drinks menu also includes Polish liqueurs.

The bar’s elegant design reflects Mionetto branding, featuring wooden elements in black and orange.

Speaking to The Moodie Davitt Report about the openings, Maciej Gajkowski said: “We selected these concepts to offer passengers a diverse range of high-quality gastronomic options. Each brand provides a unique experience, from quick street food at Bistro Okienko to elegant beverages at Prosecco Bar.

Despite its small size, the So Coffee space is efficiently used in the style of a full-service café

“Chopin Airport is a key location for us, and early sales results and customer reactions from the four new concessions have been very positive.”

The concessions add to a strong existing Lagardère Travel Retail commercial portfolio at Warsaw Chopin Airport.

The company also operates stores including Aelia Duty Free, Relay, 1Minute Smacznego!, Victoria’s Secret, The Fashion Gallery and Premium Food Gate. The offer is complemented by cafés such as Costa and Paul, and dining outlets including The Flame and Misa.

Completing the Lagardère Travel Retail line-up at the airport are Le Connaisseur, Virgin and The Warsaw Store, which offer a broad selection of newspapers and books, alcohol, travel accessories and regional souvenirs. ‍
