Lagardère Travel Retail reveals plans for first Wasabi franchise restaurant at London Luton Airport

UK. Lagardère Travel Retail has announced it will open Wasabi, a Japanese cuisine restaurant at London Luton Airport this month (July).

This will be Wasabi’s first franchise opening, adding to a portfolio of more than 60 restaurants worldwide, including 35 in London and two in New York.

The brand was founded in the English capital in 2003 by South Korean entrepreneur Dong Hyun Kim and is known for its freshly prepared sushi and bento.

The new Lagardère Travel Retail-operated Wasabi dining venue at London Luton will span 107sq m and offer a 30-seat capacity.

The space will feature a vibrant dine-in area and a grab-and-go counter.
