UAE. Lancôme Travel Retail, part of L’Oréal Groupe, teamed up recently with Dubai Duty Free for a beauty tech animation at Dubai International Airport (DXB).
The ‘Beauty Tech On The Go’ pop-up ran until mid-July and drove the brand’s mission of providing a ‘revolutionised beauty experience’ for travellers.

The animation highlighted Lancôme’s latest beauty innovations including the Lancôme Skin Screen and Lancôme Shade Finder devices, which were designed to answer the diverse beauty needs of its customers.
The Lancôme Skin Screen is a cutting-edge AI-powered skin analysis device that uses tri-polar light technology — which combines visible and cross-polarised light with UV flashes — to measures different 12 different skin parameters.
These include texture, redness, spots, visible pores, wrinkles, fine lines, UV damage, hydration and firmness. The AI algorithm then processes the information to offer a bespoke skincare routine with Lancôme products.

The Lancôme Shade Finder tool helps travellers find the right shade of foundation based on their specific skin tones and undertones using an algorithm. It then matches them with a Lancôme foundation from the shades available in-store.
After the tech-driven consultations, consumers were able to try the recommended skincare products and enjoy flash makeup services.
Commenting on the activation, Lancôme TREMEAI General Manager Cédric Remeur said: “Our aim is to offer customers the best experience and services, showcasing Lancôme’s scientific expertise and values.”
