Lancôme promises show-stopping eyes with Hypnôse Star Mascara

Lancôme shines on with Hypnôse Star Mascara

Lancôme has expanded its make-up portfolio with the new Hypnôse Star Mascara, which will be available in travel retail in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and the Americas from July. The product will be rolled out to Asia in January 2013.

The mascara is being promoted by two icons: cartoon heroine Betty Boop and supermodel Daria Werbowy – both famous for their impactful eyes – in a blend of vintage and contemporary glamour.

Hypnôse Star is said to deliver “show-stopping” eyes, giving lashes intense volume, curve and glamour. This is thanks to a dual formula which features a selection of soft waxes which swathe and separate from root to tip, finished with a hard carnuba wax that forms a thin film over the lash surface and sets the curl. Mineral pigments in light-reflecting oils produce a shimmering “black diamond” effect.

The formula is complemented by an innovative patent-pending brush with two flat and two oblique sides. The former loads lashes with just the right amount of product to generously coat lashes, while the latter – endowed with longer fibres – separates and lengthens while fixing lashes in a curl, according to the brand.

Lancôme Hypnôse Star is presented in the signature Hypnôse curved mascara case, dusted with a sprinkling of glittery sequins. The shade available is Noir Midnight.
