Lancôme to stage Génifique at key European airports – 24/03/09

Lancôme’s latest anti-ageing flaship, Génifique, will be presented in several big animations in European airports at the end of this month


FRANCE. Lancôme Génifique Youth Activator, the flagship new anti-ageing product by the L’Oréal group, will be presented in a series of big animations in European airports at the end of this month.

As reported, Génifique has been available on the European and American travel retail markets since March, and rolling out to Asia in September.

The first of the launch animations will take place in Amsterdam Airport Schiphol from 31 March to 20 April. All French airports, in partnership with Aélia, will stage Génifique from 30 April to 13 May.

Described as a “decisive breakthrough in the world of beauty”, Génifique is positioned as a futuristic treatment that revives the activity of the skin’s youth genes, thereby stimulating production of young skin hallmark proteins.

Génifique is the result of two revolutionary scientific discoveries, according to Lancôme. Firstly, with age, genes need more time to act to produce proteins. And secondly, these proteins are the skin’s signature of youth; with age, their presence diminishes.

Génifique is said to accelerate the speed at which certain genes are expressed, stimulating the production of specific proteins that make up the “˜bar code’ for young skin. It then helps cells recover their ability to interpret and act on the signals they receive from the cell environment.

As a result, Génifique claims to make the complexion even, and the skin brighter, supple and smooth.

Said to be suitable for use by women of all ages and all skin types, Génifique Youth Activator will retail domestically at around €78 for 30ml. It is presented in a glass jar with a dropper applicator.
