Lancôme updates Absolue anti-ageing collection with new serum

Lancôme has extended its enduring Absolue anti-ageing franchise with a new product: Absolue Sublime Regenerating Oleo-Serum. The formula is said to harness the benefits of various oils, in an “iconic” texture.

“For half a century now, Absolue has embodied Lancôme’s excellence and has firmly established itself as an expert at targeting the signs of ageing,” noted Lancôme Worldwide President Youcef Nabi. “The most advanced technologies, the most powerful ingredients and the most sophisticated textures are used in this exceptional range.”

The latest addition to Lancôme’s Absolue range has oils at the heart of its formula

It is the first time that Lancôme has placed oils at the heart of such a formula, which is said to be suitable for women of all ages and all ethnicities. The key ingredients are Lemon essential oil, and Camellia and Babassu oils (the latter is extracted from the Babassu nut, which is native to Amazonia). These oils are teamed with the regenerating power of Pro-Xylaneâ„¢, a compound found in other Lancôme products, which is said to help reconstruct the skin’s matrix.

The result, Lancôme maintains, is skin that appears more toned, radiant and luminous from the first application. With continued use, the skin appears visibly rejuvenated, smooth and glowing, with fine lines less visible.

Absolue Sublime Regenerating Oleo-Serum has a hybrid texture – part-oil, part-serum – which is suitable for even sensitive skin, according to the brand. The formula incorporates an “invigorating yet soothing” scent that combines top notes of cardamom, mandarin and bergamot with the brand’s signature rose heart. The base blends cedar, musk and iris.

Absolue Sublime Regenerating Oleo-Serum is presented in gold-coloured packaging, topped with a transparent cap.
