Lancôme is set to extend its ultra-premium anti-ageing Absolue L’Extrait collection with the introduction of the new Regenerating and Renewing Ultimate Elixir-Concentrate. It will be available in the travel retail channel from September.
The treatment will be complemented by Lancôme’s Absolue L’Extrait Ultimate Beautifying Lotion, to create an exclusive skin care ritual. Both products harness the regenerating properties of the Absolue Pressé of Lancôme Rose native cells, according to the brand.
This new-generation active is said to push back the limits of science to offer consumers cutting-edge regenerating efficacy. Day after day, the Elixir-Concentrate targets multiple signs of ageing to reveal a youthful radiance, Lancôme maintains.
Skin seems restored, with an even, firmer texture. Elastomers help to soften. In addition, mineral powders help to mattify the skin on application.
The scented gel-emulsion texture is applied with a smoothing massage petal applicator, which delivers an alternating hot and cold effect that aims to stimulate and revive the skin’s microcirculation.
In tests, immediately after application of the Elixir-Concentrate, wrinkle visibility was reduced by -15%, Lancôme claims. Moreover, clinical scoring showed a -26% reduction in the visibility of wrinkles after four weeks’ use.
In line with the existing Absolue L’Extrait collection, Lancôme’s Regenerating and Renewing Ultimate Elixir-Concentrate is presented in a smoked black glass jar, adorned with gold accents. The outer carton, designed to resemble a jewellery box, is a matching gold and black. The face of the Absolue franchise is actress Julia Roberts.
