L’OCCITANE Group Chief Executive Officer and Board Member Laurent Marteau has left his role, effective 16 September, to pursue personal and other business interests.

The highly regarded Laurent Marteau has led the company’s global teams with distinction

Marteau, who joined the group in 2022, has been instrumental in advancing the company’s transformation and growth into a geographically balanced, multi-brand group.

The company noted Marteau’s appreciation to the global teams for their dedication and teamwork, underscoring his admiration for their commitment, which is crucial for the group’s continued success.

L’OCCITANE Group Chairman and Director Reinold Geiger said: “We are grateful for his dedication and contributions to the company, including his support in the successful take-private process, and we wish him every success in his future endeavours.”

The Board has created an Office of the Chief Executive to manage the company’s daily operations while this transition takes place.

The Office will be led by Geiger, Group Chief Financial Officer Samuel Antunes and Group General Counsel Ingo Dauer.

Geiger noted that the Group is prepared for continued expansion, with the delisting process progressing as planned and projected to be finalised on 16 October, as previously announced. The new management and corporate governance structure will be revealed after this.

Geiger said: “Operating as a privately held entity will provide us with greater autonomy to pursue strategic investments and implement strategies more efficiently. We are excited about the significant growth opportunities ahead, supported by our strong portfolio of brands and products.” ✈
