Le Clos opens new outlet at Dubai International’s Terminal 1 Concourse D

The new store offers complimentary bottle engraving and bespoke concierge services

UAE. Fine wine and luxury spirits retailer Le Clos has opened its sixth outlet at Dubai International Airport in the new Concourse D at Terminal 1. As reported, the company has just launched an ambitious new offer at the location across F&B and retail

Le Clos said travellers could sample 16 wines at the store, with 11 available to try on a complimentary basis before purchase.

The company will also give travellers the chance to taste five iconic First Growths – from Château Haut Brion, Château Latour, Château Lafite, Château Margaux and Château Mouton Rothschild – available as a flight of five at US$100 or by the glass for US$30.

The outlet’s range has been “selected specifically for the diverse passenger mix travelling through the terminal”, according to Le Clos, with an entry point of US$28. Among the vintages available are Château Lafite 1982 and New World rarity Screaming Eagle Blanc, of which only 300 bottles are produced annually.

Le Clos said the Dubai store had been designed to allow customers to browse “more freely” through its use of space and by updating merchandising units and shelving.

Services offered at the store include complimentary bottle engraving and bespoke concierge services which allow customers to place their order online or over the phone prior to departure, with their purchased items then delivered to them upon arrival at Dubai International.

“Ensuring our people retain enthusiasm and passion for the products they sell is vital to delivering a world-class experience,” said Le Clos Group CEO Andrew Day. “We always consider feedback from our customers as we evolve our in-store offering, some of which you will see in the new store. But a great store fit out alone is not enough; it’s our people who will create that personal experience that will hopefully bring customers back again and again.”
