EUROPE. The European Travel Retail Confederation (ETRC) met in London last week with the heads of the largest travel retailers operating in Europe for a briefing on key industry challenges and opportunities.
ETRC Board members Erik Juul-Mortensen, Frank O’Connell and President Sarah Branquinho met with Dufry Chief Executive Officer Julián Díaz; Aer Rianta International Chief Executive Officer Jack MacGowan; Gebr Heinemann Co-owner Gunnar Heinemann; and Lagardère Travel Retail Chairman & Chief Executive Officer Dag Rasmussen (pictured left to right below).
The ETRC said it is currently dealing with a wide range of issues, some of which could have far-reaching implications for the duty free and travel retail industry in Europe and beyond.
The discussion also covered the strategic direction of ETRC over the short and medium term. The CEOs expressed their strong commitment and support to ETRC and the vital work the organisation does on behalf of the industry.
