AMERICAS. Leading airport, cruise and border travel retailers from North and South America spearhead a powerful line-up of speakers for the Summit of the Americas – A Virtual Experience, which takes place on 5-9 April.
As reported, the all-digital event is being organised by the International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IAADFS) and Asociación Sudamericana de Tiendas Libres (ASUTIL) in partnership with The Moodie Davitt Report (which organised the successful Virtual Travel Retail Expo from 12-16 October). Visitor registration (free to all travel retailers and airport companies) is open at the official event website, which is now live.
Guests will be welcomed (virtually) to The Knowledge Hub on day one by IAADFS Chairman (and Dufry Central and Latin America Executive Advisor) René Riedi and ASUTIL President (and Dufry Chief Operating Officer South America) Gustavo Fagundes.

Views on the shape and rhythm of recovery in the Americas market will be a central focus of the Knowledge Hub sessions. Other themes to be explored include the reshaping of the airport experience, changing consumer demand, digitalisation, sustainability, diversity and inclusion, alongside sessions that analyse travel prospects for the region and on the economic outlook.
