Leonidas takes centre stage at Schiphol to mark its 100th anniversary

Premium Belgian chocolate company Leonidas is marking its 100th anniversary with a series of major events, including a big campaign at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol during March and April.

The campaign, themed, “˜100 years of pure pleasure’, is running in high-profile locations at three Schiphol Airport Retail stores at the Dutch hub. SAR is the first travel retailer to host the campaign worldwide.

Leonidas International Sales Director Filip Van de Vyver said: “During the campaign we will animate the promotion with a team of hostesses (for sampling activities) and our maître chocolatier Claude Sénèque will do some show cooking and prepare exclusive pralines in-store [to mark the anniversary].”

The event will also be communicated with a two-page insert in Schiphol’s special offer brochure, available across the airport to passengers.

Schiphol Airport Retail is the first travel retailer to host the campaign

The travel retail sales campaign will focus on four limited edition boxes:

– a limited edition Leonidas 230g blue tin box containing pralines (with four specially developed for the 100th anniversary)
– a classic 500g Leonidas ballotin in a “˜100 years’ design
– a limited edition Leonidas white tin box with a 500g ballotin inside
– a limited edition Leonidas red tin box with a 1kg ballotin inside
