Lindt & Sprüngli unwraps a fresh look for The Moodie Davitt Report on World Chocolate Day

In a recent interview with The Moodie Davitt Report, Lindt & Sprüngli Head of Global Travel Retail Peter Zehnder offered exclusive insight into how Lindt leveraged the viral Dubai Chocolate moment to create its top SKU. Zehnder is pictured here with Lindt’s lates innovation, the Choco Wafer – “crispy, creamy, dreamy” and ready to take centre stage in 2026.

Swiss chocolatier Lindt & Sprüngli is celebrating World Chocolate Day (7 July) with a striking makeover of The Moodie Davitt Report desktop homepage, along with an elegantly curated treatment of our mobile website.

World Chocolate Day marks the date when chocolate was first brought to Europe in 1550. It offers a moment to recognise both the cultural significance of chocolate and the people involved in its production, from farmers to chocolatiers.

As Lindt celebrates its 180th anniversary, a key focus for the brand is its Choco Wafer – a product launch that underlines the company’s commitment to premiumisation and category growth.

Earlier this year, the premium confectionery house unveiled the first Lindt Boutique in Asia Pacific travel retail at Singapore Changi Airport in partnership with travel retailer and distributor FNA Group.

The boutique embraces sense of place with local influences in its product range and point-of-sale elements. It offers destination-themed gifting, a Lindor Pick & Mix station and a premium wafer selection.

As reported, the company has also made significant strides in brand engagement at Zurich Airport, where it revamped the Lindt retail island in collaboration with Avolta. Its centrepiece is the Lindor Smile Machine, an interactive photo booth that merges entertainment with sampling.

Delegates at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes can visit Lindt & Sprüngli Travel Retail at its new stand, 14, Beach Village 2, where the company will unveil its vision for the premium chocolate sector.
