Loacker celebrates 100th anniversary with vibrant shop-in-shop concept at KLIA Chocstop

MALAYSIA. Leading Italian wafer and chocolate brand Loacker is celebrating its 100th anniversary with the launch of an innovative, permanent shop-in-shop concept at Chocstop, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).  

The move marks 27 years of partnership with Chocolate Sales & Supplies Malaysia in the Malaysian travel retail sector, as well as underlining a century of Loacker history including its focus on quality, natural ingredients and Alpine craftsmanship.

A standout feature of the shop-in-shop concept is a Vespa scooter, adding a stylish and nostalgic Italian touch to the space. This centrepiece reflects Loacker’s heritage while offering travellers an Instagram-worthy moment as they explore the brand’s premium confectionery selection, noted the partners. 

Loacker is also introducing a range of new products, available exclusively at Chocstop, KLIA. These aim to cater to different segments, from families to business executives.

Among the highlights is the Loacker Spread, a creamy hazelnut spread inspired by Loacker’s signature wafer fillings. The new offering is expected to be popular among families and chocolate enthusiasts looking for a premium, high-quality spread, said the partners.

The Loacker shop-in-shop aims to provide an immersive and interactive experience, featuring in-store tastings, special promotions and limited-edition offerings to mark the brand’s centennial celebration.

The partnership with Chocolate Sales & Supplies Malaysia underscores Loacker’s long-term commitment to the Malaysian market and its continuous investment in travel retail innovation, said the brand owner.

The Chocstop store at KLIA is designed with a modern theatre theme. Its striking red façade captures travellers’ attention while inside, the store features personalised fixtures by premium confectionery brands, creating “a dynamic and engaging retail space”.
