US. Fran’s Organic Bodycare has opened a kiosk featuring natural skincare products at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. The store is offering traveller basics including moisturisers, toothpaste and deodorant, in addition to other products such as soaps, body scrubs, essential oils and accessories.

The business was founded in Baltimore by Fran Ngong after creating natural bodycare recipes to treat her own dry skin condition. Today, her original creations are stocked by major retailers, and last year she was awarded a Burt’s Bees Natural Launch Pad Grant for the product FreeMe Natural Deodorant.

Fran’s Organic Bodycare is the seventh participant in Fraport Maryland’s LaunchPad programme, which is currently in its second year. The initiative creates retail opportunities for entrepreneurs and start-ups from the local area at Baltimore/Washington International Airport.

In partnership with the Maryland Aviation Administration, Fraport Maryland said it is aiming to bring the authentic culture of the region to the airport by supporting local businesses. Selected LaunchPad operators receive a kiosk along with training, sales and marketing support.
