L’OCCITANE Group has unveiled a new corporate mission statement under the tagline ‘With empowerment, we positively impact people and regenerate nature.’
According to the company, the new corporate mission represents the next phase in its ambitious transformation into a more inclusive, geographically balanced, multi-brand company.
Employees of all levels throughout the organistaion were invited to contribute to the mission before its internal launch in September 2021.
In addition, the board and shareholders have approved amending the company’s Articles of Association to include ESG considerations. The Group also created a Sustainability Committee with each member of the leadership team signing a letter committing to be a steward of the company’s mission.
The three core principles of the mission are:
- To empower and inspire innovation and unlock new opportunities for its stakeholders at every level. This ethos extends to inspiring and bringing value to all its consumers and communities.
- To ensure the company’s actions have a positive impact on people by helping communities through the ethical sourcing, design, manufacture and sale of its products.
- To regenerate nature by inspiring every stakeholder in the company to have a positive impact on the planet and by collaborating with the cosmetics and agricultural industries to enact real change.
While continuing to focus on driving growth, L’OCCITANE Group’s new corporate mission will become a critical point of reference for steering the actions of the entire organisation now and in the future.
