ARGENTINA. Leading regional travel retailer London Supply Group is celebrating its 84th anniversary, reflecting on the company’s success in Argentinian airports and broader travel retail, and its related role in promoting economic growth, responsible tourism and social impact.

Leveraging its strong nationwide footprint, the company reaffirmed commitment to its vision through the management of strategic infrastructure, commercial operations and impactful initiatives.
Founded in 1942 by Don José Taratuty as a marine supplier for seagoing vessels during what was an intensely busy period for the seaport sector, London Supply Group has grown to establish a major presence across key regions of the country, particularly in Patagonia and the Northeast.
From its early focus on domestic goods and support for the country’s productive development, the business has evolved into a diversified group with 100% domestic capital, driven by a strong commitment to generating a positive impact in the communities where it operates.

London Supply Group’s management model combines infrastructure, tourism, trade and services efficiently, driving growth and development across the regions it serves.
One of the company’s flagship operations, Duty Free Shop Puerto Iguazú has become a key attraction for visitors to Misiones.
From this Puerto Iguazú outlet, London Supply Group has expanded to manage high-impact locations, including the Atlántico Sur Duty Free Shops and the Río Gallegos Free Trade Zone, creating a portfolio that delivers premium experiences while driving regional development.
Beyond its commercial ventures, the group also manages key infrastructure, such as Malvinas Argentinas International Airport in Ushuaia, Armando Tola Airport in El Calafate, and Almirante M. A. Zar Airport in Trelew, alongside tourist ports that boost regional connectivity and visitor flow.
Integrating its diverse operations, the company positions tourism development as a strategic pillar, fostering investment, employment and competitiveness across its airports, duty-free shops and free trade zones.
Sustainability focus

London Supply Group’s identity has long been rooted in sustainability, guiding its projects and decisions with a long-term perspective on ethical use of resources and integration with the natural environment, the company noted.
This vision reflects a family company that has evolved over three generations while upholding its founding values.
London Supply Group Director of Sustainability and Strategic Communications María Taratuty said: “Sustainability is not an isolated area; it is a way of thinking about every action the group takes. It is present in our operations, in talent management, and in our bond with the communities.”
The group demonstrates this commitment through both business and social initiatives, based on the principle that economic growth is meaningful only when it benefits both people and the environment.
Social commitment

Founded in 2008, the London Supply Group Foundation strengthens the group’s social impact by systematising its responsibility initiatives, with a focus on health, education and inclusion in the communities it serves.
A key project was the construction and donation of the Barrio 1° de Mayo Educational Park in Puerto Iguazú, providing daily nutritional support to 1,500 children. It also serves as the operational base for the Supersanitos campaign, a comprehensive preventive health and health education programme.
Recognised for its impact, the project received a 2025 Conciencia Award in the ‘Companies – Health and Prevention’ category, honouring initiatives aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals.
Looking ahead, London Supply Group reaffirmed its commitment to promoting responsible tourism, strategic infrastructure and sustainability.
Taratuty concluded, “These 84 years represent a history of constant learning and commitment to every community that has welcomed us.
“A new anniversary is an opportunity to give thanks, reflect, and renew that commitment. We want to continue being an active part of Argentina’s development, with responsibility and a long-term vocation.” ✈
