L’Oréal Travel Retail has launched its Armani Box pop-up store at Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport in Thailand to start 2019.
The pop-up offers a movie star experience for travellers and marks the latest outing for Uri – a giant golden resin gorilla that is a replica of a movie prop that resides in Giorgio Armani’s home in Milan.

The Armani Box concept launched in 2017 and made its travel retail debut at Hong Kong International Airport in January 2018.
In Bangkok, the pop-up opened to visitors in the airport’s departures hall on 1 January 2019 and will run to 28 February. The opening was celebrated at a special event on 11 February, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a tour attended by social media influencers from Thailand and China.

Movie-themed details and props include a Walk of Fame digital handprint, backstage makeup stations, and a red carpet. Visitors can also film their own screen test when entering the director’s booth. Portrait photos and videos are available to keep, share and post online.
Product exclusives available at the pop-up include a limited edition version of Armani’s new lip product Rouge d’Armani Matte #400. Travellers can personalise purchased products through an engraving service.
