Lotte Duty Free enhances product mix with premium brands in high-growth categories

SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free has enhanced its brand portfolio with additional offerings in baby care, beauty technology and food & confectionery.

After recording a +44% year-on-year sales increase in baby products during the first half of 2025, the retailer has responded by introducing premium brands such as Bugaboo.

Bugaboo joined the brand line-up on 15 July, introducing its globally popular range of ergonomic baby products, including strollers, high chairs and compact seating solutions.

The brand made its debut alongside the Butterfly 2, a stroller that balances user-friendly design with enhanced child comfort. It features a one-second, ultra-compact folding mechanism for maximum storage and portability.

Lotte Duty Free is supporting the launch with special online offers, including discounts on strollers. The retailer noted a swift consumer response, with several products already sold out.

The brand complements other category leaders such as Atelier Choux, a French luxury brand known for its premium blankets, and Ergobaby, a globally renowned baby carrier brand.

In the beauty segment, Lotte Duty Free has added Botem to its brand line-up. Specialising in high-frequency medical and beauty devices, the brand is best known for its signature R Face range, which features wireless handheld tools designed to firm and lift the skin.

Expanded brand line-up at Lotte Duty Free Busan

At its Busan store, Lotte Duty Free introduced a K-specialty shop in June, offering a premium, themed assortment of Korean brands for domestic and international travellers.

The shop features Praebee, a brand offering 1+ Grade premium natural honey available in three flavours. Also listed is Yiayia and Friends, a premium Greek brand renowned for its traditional ingredients and products, including extra virgin olive oil, organic lemon juice and tumblers.

As part of its commitment to supporting local culture and small businesses, Lotte Duty Free has teamed up with the Busan Tourism Organization to launch a pop-up shop featuring over 300 unique products from 30 regional brands. The pop-up aims to promote the distinctive culture of the region, with online sales expansion planned for the near future.

A Lotte Duty Free spokesperson said, “We will continue to discover and introduce premium and exclusive brands to provide a more differentiated shopping experience for our customers.

“Through ongoing collaboration with local and international brands, we aim to further enhance the value of duty-free shopping.”
