INDONESIA. Lotte Duty Free is this month celebrating the third anniversary of its Jakarta downtown duty free shop with a shopping festival.
Dubbed ‘Salebration’, the campaign began on 13 June by offering up to -60% discounts on a wide array of products, including cosmetics, fragrances, liquor, fashion, food, watches, jewellery and Indonesian items. From 22 June (the third anniversary date) to 5 July Lotte Duty Free is running a night sale, offering -70% off selected items.
Customers also have the chance to win gold items, double cash-back vouchers up to IDR700,000 (US$52), hampers and shopping vouchers. Any customer whose birthday falls on 22 June gets a free gift card worth IDR500,000 (US$37).
“It’s always our pleasure to cater to customers’ satisfaction, localising a great new duty free shopping experience,” said Lotte Duty Free Marketing Communications & PR Executive Mesya Sahada. “We are putting a special emphasis on Indonesians, who became our second-top customers this year.”
International visitors and Indonesians about to travel can purchase at the store, picking up the goods at Soekarno-Hatta Airport Terminal. Additionally, expatriates and tourists are now permitted to purchase Indonesian products without a flight ticket, simply by presenting their passport and KITAS (visa).
Lotte Duty Free, South Korea’s largest duty free retailer, opened the downtown Jakarta store in 2013.
