
SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free has opened an offline store for Nonfiction, a lifestyle beauty brand popular with the MZ generation, on the 11th floor of its Myeong-dong, Seoul flagship.
South Korea’s homegrown beauty brand prides itself on its clean beauty products and perfumes that are made of raw materials and fewer preservatives.
Nonfiction has an assortment of products including hand cream, lotion, lip moisturiser, and body wash that are divided into eight different scents: Santal Cream, Gentle Night, Gaiac Flower, Forget Me Now, In the Shower, For Rest, Canopée and Rose Pale.
Its best-sellers include Gentle Night Perfume and Sangtal Cream Hand Cream.
Launched in 2019 in Seoul, Nonfiction now has four stores in the capital and Busan. It has also expanded to other locations overseas including a Sephora Hong Kong pop-up store, Isetan Department Store in Tokyo, Japan and Marais in Paris, France.
To celebrate the exclusive launch of Nonfiction at its Myeong-dong headquarters, Lotte Duty Free is giving away freebies to online and offline customers. Five types of hand creams or body and hand care sample kits are up for grabs on a first-come, first-served basis to customers who purchase Nonfiction products.
In addition, shoppers can also get a signature black eco bag for purchases of US$100 or more and an additional squeezer for hand cream purchases.
Lotte Duty Free also plans to host a Star Lounge event in collaboration with Nonfiction durin the first half of this year with its top-tier customers.
Lotte Duty Free Head of Product Division 1 Lim Hyung-il, said, “To meet the increasing demand for dutyf ree shopping, we are discovering trendy brands preferred by domestic and foreign customers.”
Lotte Duty Free has also introduced other rising local brands to its customers such as Numbuzin, Fwee, Lavien, J’s Derma, and Derma Firm, among others.
Adding to its collection of luxury names, Lotte Duty Free has also launched more international labels such as Moncler Perfume, Carrière Frères and Lancaster. ✈
