SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the tourism office of Songpa District to promote tourism.
The agreement, which was signed at the Lotte World Tower located in the area by Lotte CEO Kap Lee and Songpa Mayor Park Seong Soo, will see the retailer offer tourism resources and support foreign tour programmes that come to the district.

The promotional messages from Lotte will emphasise the tourism attractions in the district. As well as the Lotte World Tower, Songpa is also home to the Seoul Olympic Park, where the 1988 Olympics took place, and Seokchon Lake Park.
Songpa also hosts a number of festivals throughout the year and Lotte said it would support these by inviting influencers from both South Korea and abroad to do live broadcasts from the event.

The retailer added that it would promote Korean cuisine by making foreign language menus for restaurants in the district.
“I hope that local governments and companies will have a meaningful opportunity to consider and share their strengths together for community development and revitalisation of tourism,” Lotte Duty Free CEO Kap Lee commented.
