SINGAPORE. Lotte Duty Free Singapore has revealed its newly transformed wines & spirits store at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 2. The retailer hailed the outlet’s range of “avant-garde tech innovations which invite passengers to indulge their senses of sight, sound, smell and touch in an immersive environment”.
A highlight is the upper floor Forest of Li Bai or the Exceptional Liquor Tasting Lounge, inspired by the revered Tang Dynasty poet, Li Bai. The atmosphere created by LED ceiling animations reinterprets the beauty of Singapore’s Botanical Garden.
An LED Media Ring aims to evoke Li Bai’s journey through a mystical lake, where he was uncertain if the moon lay within his wine cup or the water. This stands 2m high and 9m in diameter. An image of whales symbolises luck to every visitor to the lounge space.
A Spirits Dispenser offers an entry point to the world of high-end spirits curated by Lotte Duty Free. A Smart Mirror offers the chance to snap a selfie with a favourite K-pop artist or pose as a cover model for the Lotte Duty Free magazine.
Lotte Duty Free Singapore Managing Director Jeff Soongyu Jeong said: “Our goal is always to provide a shopping experience unlike any other, and with our new transformation, we have truly created a symphonic blend of tradition and innovation. We are delighted to invite travellers to indulge in the poetic ambiance of the Forest of Li Bai, elevating their travel retail journey.”
Changi Airport Group Senior Vice President, Airside Leasing & T5 Commercial Planning, Chandra Mahtani added: “Changi Airport has always strived to push boundaries in our retail offerings. Partnering with Lotte Duty Free has enabled us to curate a unique experience that marries the art of liquor and spirits with the spectacle of retail-tainment.
“This store is a testament to our joint commitment to excellence. We are confident that travellers will be wowed and delighted as they journey through the new Lotte Duty Free store in Changi Airport.” ✈
