Lotte Duty Free to host latest live sales show on dedicated LUXEMALL platform

SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free is set to host the second live sales show, ‘LUXEMALL Live’ offering customs-cleared goods, on 24 February. The first live event featured more than 880 popular luxury fashion products for discounts of up to -70% on 4 February.

The first initiative resulted in the entire shoe collection available selling out, on brands such as Jimmy Choo and lines such as Romy 85, Romy 60, Erin Ballet Flats and others. More than 60% of the customers were from outside Korea’s capital city Seoul and the online commerce event helped to attract customers who were finding it difficult to purchase offline.

Lotte Duty Free aims to match the success of its first LUXE MALL Live event on 4 February

Expectations of the event by Lotte Duty Free, stakeholders and customers are elevated following the success of the first event. The live event can be watched through the LUXEMALL homepage (ldfluxemall.com) or on the LUXEMALL mobile app (show will only be available for android devices). Anyone can participate or shop through a simple registration process.

Products available through Lotte Duty Free’s events are customs cleared duty free products that do not require customers to leave the country. The second live event will feature 16 items from Tory Burch and Vivienne Westwood for discounts up to -52%.

Lotte Duty Free will promote the second live event; customers who tag friends on Lotte Duty Free’s official Instagram account will be given a MAC lipstick on a lottery basis.

The previous event was a big hit among shoe lovers, with a range of Jimmy Choo lines selling out

Lotte Duty Free plans on adding new brands and products through seasonal exhibition and other sales events to attract domestic customer purchases. The next LUXEMALL product update scheduled for 26 February will see the addition of 13,000 new items from 80 brands already listed and new brands such as Calvin Klein, Emporio Armani and Mido featuring.

In order to enhance customs cleared domestic duty free sales, Lotte Duty Free will also introduce these products at its Lotte Duty Free COEX store. Offline purchase of customs cleared domestic duty free goods can be picked up by customers upon purchase at the store. The sales event will require customers to pre-book purchases and store entry will be limited to 20 people at one time to limit the spread of COVID-19.

More than 40 brands favoured by locals, including Burberry, Givenchy, Ferragamo and others will be available at the COEX store, which will begin sales on 2 March.

Lotte Duty Free will also continue to sell customs cleared domestic duty free goods through the integrated online platform Lotte ON. About 5,000 products from 16 brands including Chloé, Etro, Michael Kors, Mandarina Duck and others will be available at up to -71% discount.

A Lotte Duty Free representative commented: “We are actively utilising the customs cleared domestic duty free sales system to satisfy our customers shopping needs. We will strive to provide wider variety of products and various events to engage with our customers.”
