JAPAN. Lotte Duty Free has renovated the five luxury boutiques it manages at Kansai International Airport across 443sq m of space, with a Tiffany & Co jewellery store set to join its portfolio in the second half of the year.
In June, Lotte Duty Free opened freshly upgraded Bvlgari, Bottega Veneta and Gucci stores in 89sq m, 63sq m and 106sq m respectively. A 40sq m Loewe store had opened in January, with a 56sq m Tory Burch outlet previously renovated. The Tiffany boutique will span 89sq m when it opens in the coming months.

Lotte Duty Free CEO Kap Lee said: “We have taken steps to preemptively prepare for tourism demand in the post-coronavirus era and to reorganise our overseas store portfolio.”
The retailer highlighted the Gucci store for its pre-pandemic performance, saying it had the highest sales of any luxury boutique at the airport. The store is the only Gucci outlet in the Kansai region.
Lotte Duty Free has managed stores at Kansai International since 2014.
