CHINA. LS travel retail China has opened four new fashion stores at Xi’an Xianyang Airport. The boutiques from Salvatore Ferragamo, Hugo Boss, Coach and Kent & Curwen represent the company’s first luxury fashion venture in China.
The new stores, located at the centre of the airside retail area in the new Terminal 3, occupy a total retail area of 460sq m. They join four stores opened by the company at the airport in May: an 80sq m Discover Xi’an premium souvenir store; a 60sq m Kaboom children’s store; and two landside Hub Convenience stores of 50sq m and 70sq m.
LS travel retail ASPAC COO Emmanuel de Place said: “The entry into China with these first luxury stores is a first step in a bigger strategy, preparing for future opportunities in core categories and luxury concepts.”
