FRANCE. Marks & Spencer (M&S) and LS travel retail France will officially open the first Marks & Spencer Food store in Paris on 25 June. As we reported recently, the 700sq m store will be located in the commercial mall of La Défense RER station.
This is the first of ten M&S Food stores that LS travel retail and M&S plan to open in France at key railway stations, metro stations and airports over the next three years, with the potential for further expansion into additional travel locations in the future.
A second Marks & Spencer Food store, operated by LS travel retail France, will open in the world’s largest metro station (Chatelet Les Halles RATP RER station) in the centre of Paris at the end of 2015, and a third one, later in 2015, in Lille Railway station.
Marks & Spencer Head of International Food Jill Bruce said: “Our quality, fresh food is in much demand in France. That’s why we’re delighted to build on the popularity of our Food Halls at our Paris stores with the opening of our first standalone Food store.
