Luxury leathergoods company MCM boosts European business with new Hamburg Airport opening – 11/02/09

GERMANY. Luxury leathergoods company MCM is continuing to expand its European presence with the opening of a new personalised shop-in-shop at Hamburg Airport, in conjunction with The Nuance Group.

The outlet, which is due to open on 2 March, is located in the airport’s new 198sq m Plaza Terminal store.

MCM’s 30sq m area carries a range of men’s and women’s large and small leathergoods and initially displays the Spring/Summer 09 collection. The shop-in-shop is located in Nuance’s Cult store.

“This is another fabulous position for MCM and we are delighted to be in such a luxury store,” said MCM Global Travel Retail Director Gerry Munday.

“Germany, of course, is the home of MCM and the root of the brand’s heritage, quality and style. It’s an excellent market for us and we are therefore very optimistic about the success of this venture,” Munday added.
