MAC steps up its seasonal sparkle – 19/11/04

UK. MAC has expanded its extensive colour portfolio with a selection of new eye products, and two new seasonal looks.

New for eyelashes is Zoom Lash (pictured left), described as a long-wearing, weightless mascara that combs and lifts lashes from the root to lengthen, sculpt, build and hold volume.

The product features a special “precision-control” wand for more accurate application.

Zoom Lash is available in five shades. In addition to the standard black and brown, these are Blue Storm, Violet and Pink Opal.

The line is available in travel retail from this month.

Also new for eyes is Veluxe Pearl Eye Shadow. It is said to deliver high-pigment metallic colour enriched with a pearl lustre.

Application is smooth and even, according to MAC.

Veluxe Pearl Eye Shadow is available now in travel retail. There are 12 shades, including Shimmermoss, Antiqued and Freshwater.

Meanwhile, MAC has upped its glamour quotient with a new Glitter Eye Liner collection (pictured right). It is being launched this month into travel retail.

Featuring nine colourful shades, the liners are said to deliver liquid glitter that does not shake off into the delicate eye area. Colours include pink, lime purple, silver and gold.

Glamor and glitter feature strongly in MAC’s latest seasonal looks. Adorn (pictured left), is characterised by wintry sparkle.

Limited-edition, heat-activated, self-adhesive crystals provide a dramatic decorative element. Extra sparkle comes courtesy of Shimmersoufflé, a new water-based glitter mousse.

Lastly, Asian travel retail is being exhorted to Rock It!. This seasonal look, inspired by glam rock, features gloss, glitter and girly pinks.

Key items include a limited-edition Face Palette compact which incorporates one glitter cream, three lip glosses and a lip brush.
