Macau International Airport invites bids for perfume and cosmetics sub-concession

MACAU, CHINA. Macau International Airport Company (CAM) today launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a single retailer to operate a 783sq m sub-concession space dedicated to perfumes & cosmetics in Macau International Airport’s (MIA) airside departures zone.

As part of the airport’s commercial modification strategy,  the RFP will award a single retailer the rights to provide perfume & cosmetics, while excluding liquor, tobacco, fashion, footwear, accessories, watches & jewellery.

 

CAM said: “CAM expects all bidders to present excellent proposals that offer outstanding customer service with a wide range of perfume & cosmetics retail services for passengers in Macau International Airport while generating good revenues and reputation with preeminent retail concepts that reflect the unique characteristics of the Macau market.”

The announcement follows the recent release of an RFP for the Boutique Retail Services subconcession of branded fashionable clothing, shoes, accessories, watches & jewellery, for which bids close on 18 February.

The deadline for submissions will be noon Macau time on 7 April.

An on-site pre-bid meeting will be held on 13 January at 10:30am local time.

Macau International Airport has served 6.34 million passengers in the first ten months of the year, up +57% from the same period in 2023.

Passenger volumes at the airport have rebounded to about 80% of pre-pandemic levels. ✈
