SPAIN. Jewellery brand Majorica has bolstered its international presence with the opening of a retail space at Málaga Airport.
The counter, located in the transit area of Terminal 2, features self-service towers and glass displays to encourage product exploration and discovery.
Commenting on the opening, Majorica Chief Operating Officer Didier Grupposo said: “We are thrilled to inaugurate this new store at Málaga Airport, a location that symbolises both tradition and modernity. This space reflects our commitment to bringing Majorica’s elegance and heritage to travellers around the world.”
The opening is part of a broader expansion strategy where travel retail plays a key role, the brand said. Málaga Airport provides a strategic platform for Majorica to showcase its heritage and craftsmanship to a global audience.
Majorica EMEA & APAC Export Area Manager Jose Carrera commented: “Majorica continues to strengthen its global presence in the duty-free channel with innovative solutions that enhance the customer experience. Recently, we installed self-service towers at the international airports of Cairo and Hurghada, offering travellers a quick and independent way to purchase our products.
“This initiative will continue with new units at key airports like Sharm El-Sheikh, further reinforcing our position in the Middle East, a vital region for our global growth.”
“Airports are a strategic platform for strengthening Majorica’s international presence, connecting us with travellers from all over the world,” added Majorica Export Area Manager Peru Xilef Grateron. “This commitment drives our growth in key regions like LATAM and enhances our global projections.” ✈
