Malaysia Airports celebrates World Chocolate Day with multi-airport confectionery showcase

MALAYSIA. Malaysia Airports marked World Chocolate Day (7 July) with a wide-ranging campaign across its network spotlighting travel-exclusive products, international confectionery brands and home-grown businesses.

Passengers travelling through Kuala Lumpur International (KLIA), Kota Kinabalu, Penang and Langkawi airports were taken on a journey of discovery through an array of chocolate offerings.

In KLIA Terminal 1, Eraman Duty Free presented visitors with a selection of travel retail-exclusive expressions from Lindt, Godiva, Toblerone and Ferrero Rocher.

These included the Lindt truffle boxes, Godiva Pralines, Toblerone Travel Editions and Ferrero Rocher T30 packs.

Travellers could also shop Hershey’s and Cadbury chocolate treats in limited-edition packaging and multi-buy sets.

The recently opened Läderach boutique showcased Swiss-made luxury chocolates, including its signature FrischSchoggi slabs and fresh pralines – marking the brand’s debut at KLIA.

The Choc Stop in KLIA T1 offered a curated range of international names and local brands, including Beryl’s Durian Chocolates and Fidani’s hand-packed gifts.

In KLIA Terminal 2, Heinemann Duty Free highlighted its range of grab-and-go options from Lindt, Milka, After Eight and Maltesers. Travellers could shop extra-large Cadbury Daily Milk 300g tablets in exclusive flavours, such as Oreo and Whole Nut, bundled into ‘Buy Any 2 Save More’ packages.

Candy Party in KLIA T2 introduced guests to novelty or oversized packs of KitKat, M&M’s and Kinder. Customers could also shop travel retail-exclusive flavours of Mini Oreos.

At Kota Kinabalu International Airport’s Eraman Emporium, exclusive gift sets and travel packs of Lindt, Toblerone and Cadbury were available to passengers.

Chocolate Box at Penang International Airport showcased offerings from Godiva, Ghirardelli and Hershey’s alongside a special collaboration with local brand Dre Coklat, available at the Kueh Kita café.

At Langkawi International Airport, the Chocolate & Confectionery shop offered a mix of global and local confectionery brands such as Reese’s, Guylian, Ritter Sport and Beryl’s.
