Malaysia Airports races ahead with F1 Malaysia Grand Prix campaign

MALAYSIA. Malaysia Airports has launched a promotional campaign at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) for the 2014 Formula 1 Petronas Malaysia Grand Prix, which will take place at the Sepang International Circuit from 28-30 March.

From now until the end of March, passengers will have the opportunity to pit their racing skills against one another at the KLIA Pit-Stop, located at Level 5 of the Main Terminal Building and at North Zone, Level 2 at the Satellite Building.

Four GT Omega racing simulators installed with the official Formula 1 Race Simulation software have been set up at these specially created areas, with Sepang International Circuit as the key simulated track.

To participate, passengers must spend a minimum of RM50 (US$15.10) at any retail or food & beverage outlets at KLIA. Daily winners will receive official Formula 1 Petronas Malaysian Grand Prix merchandise.

Passengers can also take photographs alongside the 2013 edition of a 1:1 scale FIA certified Formula 1 race car, and upload them on Instagram, Twitter or Facebook with the hash tag #kliapitstop.

In addition, Malaysia Airports will be showing a live broadcast of the Malaysian Grand Prix at Level 5 of the Main Terminal Building. Tickets for the racing event will also be on sale at KLIA Pit-Stop.
