Dsquared² Eyewear Spring/Summer Collection 2012
The Dsquared² sunglasses collection for men and women next season reveals a strong and modern personality thanks to frames with refined shapes and distinctive details.
Young design, attention to detail and a sporty mood are the main characteristics of the men’s sunglasses in acetate. The front and the central part of the arms highlight the details in metal for a sports-luxury mood typical of the Italian fashion brand (model DQ0070).
The embossed “D” on each of the arms and the clever combination of metal and acetate characterise the DQ0073 model, while refined design for the aviator model outlined in leather offers a strong and unconventional look (model DQ0075).
The women’s sunglasses are inspired by wide shapes form the 1960s with the front in acetate and the bridge in metal (DQ0078) and also with the relaxed charm of the silhouettes from the 1950s, with decorated metal logo on the arms (model DQ0079).
The contrast between acetate and metal highlights the elegant silhouette of the square model DQ0081.
A model with a pilot shape is described as feminine with a strong character. These icon sunglasses for Dsquared² women have acetate and metal detailing, and a double bridge that emphasises the bold image (model DQ0082).
The end of the arms in acetate have a hexagonal front in metal: this feature is designed to be strong but elegant (model DQ0083).
Surfaces cleverly worked into a game of shapes and contrasts with a shiny/matt effect are a feature of the wide-acetate frame with a signature logo on the arms (model DQ0084).
Acetate frames with metal plates and engraved logo offer a cool and strong effect (model DQ0086).

Just Cavalli Eyewear Spring/Summer 2012 Collection
The new collection by Just Cavalli is said to have a glamorous spirit with playful details and shapes, reflecting the appeal of the Italian fashion brand. Vintage-inspired shapes, refined details and original touches characterise this range.
Sophisticated, timeless and hyper-feminine sunglasses in acetate (model JC406S) and metal (JC407S) offer distinctive profiles with soft shapes, decorated with refined elements of style such as animal print.
Acetate and injected combine to brighten up the snake theme, seen in wide and rounded forms inspired by the 1960s (model JC399S) and also in the drop-shaped sporty-chic style (JC400S).
Oversized dimensions and sculpted profiles are inspired by a 1950s dramatic look. The colour palette follows the retro trend in soft shades and bolder hues.
Overlapping volumes between metal and injected are designed to highlight the elegance of the sophisticated and eccentric cat shape (model JC403S), while a bold silhouette is seen in model JC404S.
Also available are butterfly-shaped (JC408S) or elongated (JC409S) styles. These two models have decorated arms and unusual volumes, evoking a young and unconventional mood.
Just Cavalli Eyewear offers four unisex models with mask shapes in acetate (JC412S and JC413S) and aviator shapes in acetate and metal (JC411S and JC410S).

John Galliano Eyewear Spring/Summer 2012
From the Gazette newspaper print to the John Galliano logo, masculine and feminine shapes create new frames with their own fashion twist.
The sunglasses combine easy front shapes with richly characterised temples. Masculine metal trims are military-inspired in strong square and rectangular frames, while vintage-look frames are set off with JG logos to produce signature shades in metallic, acetates in Havana tortoiseshell and blacks.
Women’s frames are wide-eyed, soft fashion styles. The key new look develops the idea of fabric face veiling, as explored on the Spring/Summer runway. With nylon-like lenses and jewellery and butterfly motifs, catwalk glamour inspires these feminine frames, which feature fantasy trim temples and acetate inserts.

Roberto Cavalli Eyewear Spring/Summer 2012
The new collection incorporates references to the Italian fashion brand’s signature animal motif, the snake theme and the goldsmith’s art. Described as sophisticated and elegant, the collection includes retro-inspired shapes and details.
Animal prints customise the women’s model RC652S, available in acetate and metal with a vintage shape, in four colour variations.
A python print decorates the metal arms of model RC648S, which has a wide and feminine shape with acetate front. The model in acetate and metal (RC655S) is sophisticated and refined where the serpent adorns the front and the arms.
Feminine and rounded, the acetate model RC662S is characterised by grainy metal decoration inspired by the snake. Model RC663S has square metal frames, and a snake motif reshapes the silhouette of the arms, framing the lens on the front.
Precious details enhance the wide metal frame RC665S with the arms worked like a traditional goldsmith. The logo is positioned on the bottom of the lens for an unusual effect.
The aviator frame of model RC664S has a double bridge in precious metal, while model RC653S reflects a contemporary mood inspired by the jewellery collection. It comes in acetate and enriched metal on the arms for an intertwined effect.
Inspired by the snake theme and references to the brand’s jewellery, models RC656S and RC658S in acetate form a wide and sinuous shape with fine details.

Tom Ford Eyewear Spring/Summer 2012
Tom Ford presents frames for women and men with sophisticated new directions. Vintage-inspired frames crafted from rich materials, clean linear shapes that convey modern, minimalist luxury, and sexy silhouettes are designed to make powerful statements.
A dozen new sunglasses frames for women include the Islay (style 224) and Rita (225), a bold,
lightweight update of the best-selling Clothilde and Carla frames. The new colours include blue-violet and burgundy-rose frames, and lenses in grey, violet and wine.
The swooping, criss-cross fronts of the oversized Calgary (227) and Margot (226) make them the collection’s most glamorous frames. Based on the existing Nico frame, these styles feature an innovative, flat profile, and showcase feminine new hues such as brown-violet and brown-azure, alongside classic colours. The Malin (230), the Martina (231) and the Sebastian (232) reinvent the sexy, 1950s cat-eye shape in three new interpretations.
Additionally, new geometric styles are offered such as the Lydia (228), while the Leila (222) is a timeless new version of the Emmeline frame, offered in several new warm-cool colour combinations.
Some 16 sunglasses frames for men include fresh versions of the aviator shape. The Oliver (236) is a classic look, available with mirror lenses for a sportier look. The Jasper (245) gives this pilot direction a vintage twist, with its unusual double-bar frame. Additional aviators include the chic Bradley (224), the casual, youthful Wilder (240), and the unconventional, oversized Marco (235).
The Snowdon (237) is a version of the Tom Ford optical frame made famous by Colin Firth in the movie A Single Man. The model has a strong, vintage shape, thick frame and elegant inset “T” at the temples.
The large, rounded Samuele (246) and the Burke (247) are modern and glamorous reinterpretations of a 1970s silhouette. The frames feature lightweight fabrication and a distinctive hinge detail, and include unusual colour options such as shiny ruthenium and white.
The Spring/Summer 2012 collection also introduces a frame for the fashion-forward man. The Humphrey (249) is an homage to the first Tom Ford sunglass frames ever created, the Hawkings and Falcone. It upgrades this shape with eye-catching leather inserts and refined metal detailing.
Milan (238) and Luca (239) both offer an ultra-stylish, sport-luxury take on this original frame shape.
