Marcolin celebrates Tom Ford eyewear licence renewal

ITALY. US luxury fashion label Tom Ford International and Italian eyewear giant Marcolin Group have announced the automatic renewal of their licensing agreement for the design, production and worldwide distribution of eyewear under the Tom Ford brand.

Since its launch in October 2005, the Tom Ford Eyewear collection has become one of the most successful stories in eyewear.

The renewed licensing agreement is a multi-year deal through to 31 December 2015. The terms and conditions are in line with those included in the current agreement, which was due to expire on 31 December 2010, Marcolin said.

Distribution of Tom Ford Eyewear will continue to be targeted towards prestige accounts worldwide, it added.

Marcolin Group Style and Licensing Officer Maurizio Marcolin commented: “The outstanding relationship with Tom Ford has enabled Marcolin to bring to the market an iconic luxury premium brand reaching immediate success and global awareness.”

Tom Ford brand President and CEO Tom Ford said: “Marcolin is an exceptional manufacturer and partner. The renewal is a natural result of the excellent relationship that we have had over the past five years.”
