MarketPlace and partners add lustre to retail and dining portfolio at Boston Logan Airport

USA. Leading concessions programme manager MarketPlace Logan has announced a series of retail and food & beverage store openings at Boston Logan International Airport.

These are headlined by Avolta-managed The Beauty Shops at Duty Free in Terminal E, which features an exclusive selection of beauty products and fragrance collections from premium brands such as Chanel, Dior, Estée Lauder and Lancôme.

A post-security store has also opened in Terminal A offering travel essentials and New England products and gifts, named Shoppes at Boston Common.

On the F&B side, Terminal A is now also home to new fast-casual dining experiences including Jimmy John’s (fresh sandwiches and wraps) and Buffalo Wild Wings (fried chicken products).

MarketPlace Logan has also announced that the airport’s second Chick-fil-A (chicken sandwiches) will open in Terminal A this summer.

In Terminal C, Avolta-owned HMSHost has opened Shake Shack in nearly 3,000sq ft with 65 seats (look out for our separate story on this opening, coming soon). MarketPlace Logan noted this is the only Shake Shack location in Massachusetts to serve breakfast every morning.

The Shack Shake offer includes made-to-order 100% Angus beef burgers crispy chicken, crinkle cut fries and hand-spun milkshakes. The concession also features a full bar serving specialty cocktails, beer and wine.

The latest Boston Logan Airport F&B openings are completed by Peet’s and Peet’s at Night in Terminal E. This dual-sided venture serves Peet’s signature coffees and teas on one side, while the other offers crafted cocktails, wine and more.

MarketPlace Development  President Michael DiCosola said: “We continue to enhance passengers’ experience by expanding Boston Logan’s dining and retail offerings to cater to all types of travellers throughout the airport.

“These innovative concepts make our concessions programme truly one-of-a-kind, providing something for everyone.” ✈
