USA. Marshall Retail Group (MRG) has unveiled two new retail spaces with local and US themes at Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) Thurgood Marshall Airport.
The Sense of Place concepts from the WHSmith-owned travel retailer – District Market and America! – have commenced trading in Concourse D.

MRG said District Market draws its inspiration from local Baltimore communities. The store – which covers 616sq ft – has an offer including regionally-themed gifts, souvenirs, logo apparel, gourmet and artisan foods and travel essentials.

Local food brands including Charm City Chocolate, Popsations Popcorn Company , Woot Granola, Otterbein’s Cookies, Fisher’s Popcorn, Jody’s Popcorn and Route 11 Potato Chips have products listed in the store.

Marshall Retail Group Chief Executive Michael C. Wilkins said: “District Market is more than a one-stop shop, it offers BWI passengers regional products that connect customers to the local Baltimore communities. Curated with the savvy traveller in mind, customers at District Market are guaranteed to find the perfect item to complete their trip.”

Meanwhile, America! – in 746sq ft of space – is designed with a contemporary, patriotic look and has a mix of products representing the current Biden-Harris administration and White House souvenirs. Also available in the store are novelty gifts, collectibles and branded apparel.
MRG now operates more than 300 standalone stores, with more than half of that total spread across 46 US airports.
