The Snow Grouse in a new embossed bottle with a textured cracked ice effect |
Maxxium Travel Retail this month presents The Snow Grouse in an embossed bottle featuring a textured cracked ice effect emphasising the brand’s “straight from the freezer” serving option.
The frosty makeover, previewed at TFWA World Exhibition last month, includes icy cap and label colours and a larger image of the snow grouse bird.
From The Famous Grouse family of whiskies, The Snow Grouse is hailed as the first Scotch whisky specially created to be served “seriously chilled”.
Edrington Area Director Global Travel Retail Steven Sleigh commented: “The Snow Grouse is a unique blended whisky and as such we wanted to be sure that it was presented in a distinctive and appealing way. We have emphasised the chilled serving proposition for The Snow Grouse with a cracked ice effect on the glass bottle and icy colour on the labels. In doing so we have created a more premium embossed bottle which we are certain will do very well in travel retail as an unusual gift or self-indulgence.”
The Snow Grouse (40%abv) is a blended grain whisky which is matured in oak casks before being chill filtered to create a light, delicate and vanilla sweet whisky with a uniquely smooth taste, according to the distiller.
At room temperature this is a balanced, easy drinking Scotch whisky. When chilled it is said to have an even more delicate flavour, is thicker in consistency and sweeter than its usual dram; recommended serving is at no more than -18 degrees.
A QR code has also been added to the back label so that fans can get insider knowledge on the whisky as well as cocktail suggestions
The Snow Grouse is available in selected travel retail and domestic outlets and from The Famous Grouse Experience in Scotland www.thefamousgrouse.com/online-shop.
