JAMAICA. MBJ Airports is seeking proposals for a new landside food & beverage opportunity at Montego Bay Sangster International Airport.
The location is in the pre-security area of the Departures Terminal, with the potential to capture the attention of all people entering the airport.
The airport is located three miles east of the popular tourist resort, Montego Bay. It served more than 4.7 million passengers in 2019.
The new F&B addition to Sangster International will be a key element in operator MBJ Airports’ mission to transform it into a leading tourist destination airport, and one that is “uniquely Jamaican”.
As a key step towards achieving its goal, the operator has been expanding and redeveloping the retail space as part of a wider modernisation of the whole facility.
As reported, leading travel retailer Dufry recently signed a new concession agreement covering duty free and duty paid retail, extending an association with the airport which began in 2012.
Proposals for the F&B opportunity must be received by 30 June 2021. Requests for the RFP documents should be sent to commercialrfp@mbjairport.com.
