SOUTH KOREA. MCM, the Korean-owned German leathergoods brand, held a glamorous party in Seoul to celebrate the 2008 Spring/Summer collection earlier this month.
The event, held on 1 November at Aston House, Wakerhill, included members of the press, department store buyers, celebrities and business figures.
The presentation centred on two creative concepts:
– The “MCM Museum”: A display of the new collection situated in five separate rooms, each decorated differently;
– The “MCM City”: A huge LED screen located in the garden of Aston House which broadcast images of the collection and the brand’s global stores, complete with a Video Jockey show.
The Seoul party followed a similar, nautical-themed presentation in Milan during Milan Fashion Week on 24 September.
