MIDDLE EAST/AFRICA. The Middle East & Africa Duty Free Association (MEADFA) has updated its logo after the change in name of the association.
The name change is in line with the board’s decision to extend its membership to the African continent.
MEADFA said its mission “is to serve its members by promoting the business potential and global standing of the Middle East and Africa duty free & travel retail industry”.
It said it aims to create a platform for networking and collaboration among its members.
MEADFA President Sean Staunton said: “We are proud to introduce our new logo. We think it is fresh and vibrant and ties in perfectly with the inclusion of Africa.”
Described as “simple and clear”, the logo is dark blue and gold, claimed to reflect the “openness and the dynamism” of the region, which is also depicted in a map embedded in the logo.
