MEXICO. Milagro Tequila is set to expand in the Americas following a key new managerial appointment and an appearance at the IAADFS Duty Free Show of the Americas this month (Stand number: 536).
Tequilera Milagro, owner of the Milagro brand, has appointed Pablo Boggio to the newly created position of Duty Free Manager US, Latam and Carribean.

Based in Miami, Boggio will be responsible for building Milagro’s travel retail business in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean, with the exception of Mexico.
Boggio comes to the position with several years of experience in the duty free channel. He was employed by the Falic Group as an Assistant Buyer in the liquor department in Duty Free Americas from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, he was an Account Coordinator for Hard Candy/Urban Decay Cosmetics in US duty free.
Milagro’s expansion plans for 2009 include growing the duty free business in existing markets and focusing on building the business in the Americas, Boggio said.

The tequila has been awarded several accolades: Milagro Silver Tequila picked up a double gold medal in the 2008 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, while Milagro Select Barrel Reserve Reposado was awarded “˜Best in Show’ at the 2007 San Francisco World Spirits Competition.
