Chef Sara Johannes will compete for the Top Chef title

USA. A chef working in a restaurant run by OTG at Minneapolis St. Paul Airport has been included as one of the contestants on a popular culinary reality show.

Sara Johannes, who currently serves as the executive chef at Shoyu in Delta Concourse G at the hub, is one of 18 chefs set to compete in the 11th season of Top Chef, which will be shown on cable television network Bravo.

The winner of the series, which starts on 2 October, will win US$125,000, among other prizes. This year’s competition will be set in New Orleans, with local chef Emeril Lagasse among the judges.

Johannes previously served as executive chef for Wolfgang Puck’s Five Sixty restaurant in Dallas and WP24 in Los Angeles at the Ritz Carlton, before joining Shoyu.

A concept devised by Chef Koshiki Yonemura Smith, Shoyu offers travellers a modern Japanese menu featuring fresh ingredients and celebrating traditional techniques.
