USA. Food & beverage concessionaire Mission Yogurt has opened an Einstein Bros. Bagels branch at San Diego International Airport’s Terminal 1, the brand’s first at the airport. A second branch will open in Terminal 2 at the airport in early 2014.
Located in Terminal 1, the outlet features a wide-ranging menu that includes artisan-roasted coffee, fresh-baked bagels, snacks and signature sandwiches.
San Diego County Regional Airport Authority Concession Development Manager Nyle Marmion said: “The Airport Authority is pleased to work with Mission Yogurt in bringing Einstein Bros. Bagels to San Diego International Airport.
“Passengers can now enjoy delicious offerings from one of the nation’s most popular bagel eateries. This opening reflects our goal to bring the best national brands to the airport, along with top local, regional and international concepts.”
Mission Yogurt recently opened two Einstein Bros. Bagels branches at Denver International Airport, where it operates 11 F&B locations. The company also operates a restaurant in San Jose International Airport, San Jose Joe’s, with two more concepts opening there in the coming months.
“I’m excited to bring Einstein Bros. Bagels to San Diego International Airport, one of the premier airports in the nation,” said Mission Yogurt Owner Rod Tafoya. “Our first Einstein’s location is the franchise’s busiest, and we think this one will be equally well-received with airline travellers.”
