DENMARK. Airport operator Copenhagen Airports has reported that passenger traffic at its associated companies in the UK and Mexico grew in June, while it fell in China.
At Hainan Meilan Airport in China, passenger traffic fell by -1.5% to 442,900 in June compared with the same period a year ago. Aircraft movements declined by -7.5% to 3,835. For the year to date, traffic fell -5.8% to 3,629,400.
In the UK, Newcastle Airport reported a year-on-year passenger traffic increase of +9% to 536,355 for June. For the year to date, total passengers rose +13% to 2,364,069.
Mexican operator Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste (ASUR) said total passenger traffic in the nine airports it operates increased by +8.1% to 1,290,174 in June, compared with the same month last year. For the year to date, traffic rose by +9.1% to 7,804,686.
ASUR operates the airports of Cancun, Merida, Cozumel, Villahermosa, Oaxaca, Veracruz, Huatulco, Tapachula and Minatitlan in the southeast of Mexico.
